  • Feeling Fabulous!!!

Today was my last day with my personal trainer. I have to say this was an awsome experience!!! My trainer, Kim, was so encouraging, yet never let me give up. Trust me there were times when I wanted to just yell at her and say "I can't do it anymore!!" As Clair and Rachel know, we never say can't. . . personally I think it should be taken out of the english lanuage. I didn't redo the body age thing, mostly because of time, but I feel great. It been a long time since I have been...

  • A colorful birthday!

Last week a very special member of our family celebrated her 11th birthday! She has very blonde hair, very blue eyes, cute purple eye-glasses, and now pink and lime green braces on her teeth! She is also sporting newly pierced ears, and already has a large, colorful selection of earrings from which to choose. We love our Jane and are glad she had a terrific birthday. xoxo

  • Erin and Sarah at Balboa

We wanted to give mom and Adam some time to rest this afternoon so we went on an outing to Balboa Island (where one finds Bluth's frozen banana stand) and Balboa Peninsula. The girls' favorite part is taking the 3-car ferry from Balboa Island to Balboa Peninsula. (In a miracle of modern geography, you drive on to the island but have to take a ferry to the peninsula. Go figure.) We had milkshakes on the roof of Ruby's diner at the end of Balboa Pier, and then drove home with the top down...

  • 2009 KTF reunion info

We started getting a few questions about the 2009 KTF reunion recently so I thought I would post what I know. We won't get my 2009 vacation bid results back until 12/15/08 so we won't be setting an exact date until the end of December. We will be shooting for 6/24/09-6/30/09 first and 7/1/09-7/7/09 second. Of course this doesn't mean that everyone has to be there for a whole week. There have also been questions about accommodations. Please go to the following website to look at the Disney...

  • Adam Søren Taylor

Born today June 23, 2008, at 10:31 a.m. He weighed almost 8 pounds, and measured 20.5 inches fore and aft. He had a bit of a rough time coming, apparently having wrapped the umbilical cord around his neck, a tree, and the bumper of a truck. He also managed to arrange his shoulder such that you'd think he didn't want to come out. But out he came, a bit shaken. (You can see, in the first picture of the gallery, taken just minutes after he was born, his original grayish color. He is holding...

  • The Answer is. . .

Jerusalem!!! "When I paid for the tour it was only a possibility that we would be able to go and we only found out we were definitely going a day before we pulled in. We had a chance to go to Jerusalem. It was amazing. We only were there for one day, well really a half a day because it was a 2 ½ hour bus ride from the port we pulled into. I am going to send you some of the pictures and the rest you’ll see in a few weeks. We pulled into Jerusalem and went to Mt. Scopa which over...

  • Taking the Train

Feeling the pain at the pump, I decided to start taking the train to work. Here's some footage from my commute:

  • Henry, the Chef

A while ago I suggested some ideas of what to blog about . One of the blog post suggestions was "bragging" about your family, house, car, projects, etc. because we want to know about your adventurous life, you know. Well since I don't talk enough of my own kids I've decided to brag about someone else's. It's all about cousin Henry. I always remember seeing pictures of him showing his preference of staying near his Mommy. As an "attachment" to his mother (and there...

  • Round 2

So I went to the thrift store and bought all the eyelet pillowcases they had...about nine or so that were any good, and made some "new" dresses. They got lots of compliments, but I didn't know if they were sincere or the "Wow, your girls look so cute...in pillowcases...from the thrift store." kind of comment.

  • Pillowcase Dresses

Here is my first atempt at the pillowcase dress. I had a couple of random cases that I uses and now I'm on the hunt for vintage and embroidered pillowcases. I love eyelet as well. The girls jump at an excuse to wear a dress and I love a quick and cheap sewing project. Happy Saturday to everyone.
