5 Days a Week

Here is to all of you people who I like to call "normal work people. . . "  To thoes people who go to work 5 days a week every week. . .  To thoes who still figure out how to get to the doctor, bank, and other places that are only open during your working hours.  I just don't know how you do it.  You see, my whole adult life I have been in nursing at some level or another.  I have never worked 5 days a week.  Once I started a job working 4 days a week and it about killed me, so I went to my boss and asked to go back to nursing hours. Normal nursing hours for all thoes who don't know are . . .  12 hour shifts, 3 days a week.   A lot of people ask me "How do you work 12 hours? Don't you get tired?"  The way I see it is that I am already there what's another 4 hours going to hurt.  Sure when I first started it, I had a couple of weeks before I got used to it, but now 12 hours flys by (especially being a nurse).

The reason I bring all this up is because this week I have worked the last 4 days and I am wiped out.  I will say how excited I am about my new job.  The people are fun to work with and I am glad to be back on the floor and not in the procdure area.  You get to use a wider range of nursing skills on the floor.

I also wanted to say a belated Happy Birthday to Shari!!!  I am glad that you got to go skiing as your present.  I like your idea of making that your birthday present every year, I know I would.

I am so glad to hear you like your job, and most of all,  the people you work with!  It warms my heart Brit!;)  I don't know how those working moms do it either.  I guess you just adjust, and sacrifice A LOT!

Thanks for the photo and wish!  I plan on skiing every birthday!  I only work 20 hours a week at Ridgeline and it kills me, I really don't know how those 9 to 5 people do it!
