"I'd rather owe it to you than cheat you out of it."

  • While Grandma Marti was away...

Last Friday our Grandma went to visit great Grandpa Jessie in Illinois. As soon she left, we quickly came to the rescue. It wasn't a happy situation being left behind so we dutifully called Grandpa Keith to check on him... And check on his our plans for the weekend. This is how it went: Hi, how are you, Grandpa? "Good" What are you going to do when Grandma's gone? "Not much" pause for two seconds and an half "Want to come and have a party" Well, we're in...
  • Plane at the Park

We've been saving for a while and finally bought our my very own foam airplane. We took turns throwing it, but since I really got the toy for me I ended up doing most of the throwing while the kids did the running. The girls said "Daddy's making such a big effort, lets help him." They thought they were doing me a favor by doing the exercises themselves. Lucky me! Click here for some fun pictures.

  • Little Bird Found

Once upon a time I was riding in the carriage with my Mom and siblings on our way back from school. As soon we got to our alley I noticed a little head sticking out of the the top of fence. "STOP! STOP!" I yelled, And guess what: I spotted a curious pigeon sitting, peeking out around our backyard. She was in her comfy nest, not moving at all, looking at us. My sisters and I stood up in the edge of the car's back door to watch her from a closer point of view. "Lets take a picture...

  • Greg, the Center of My Universe

We've known for a while now that Greg believes he is the center of the universe. And not too long ago he proved it to me. Greg: "There is an infinite amount of universe in front of me, right?" Doug: "Yes." Greg: "And there's an infinite amount behind me." Doug: "Yes." Greg "So that makes me the center." Doug: "Wait a minute. That would make me the center too." Greg: "No, there can only be one center." Darn it.

  • Happy (belated) Easter!

We spent Easter weekend at the Grandparents' house, as always. Brittney had hospital duties on Sunday so our traditional Easter dinner was held on Saturday evening. And since we are happy to eat anytime a delicious homemade meal -without complaining one little bit- we were delightful to hop in and help out! As usual Grandpa Keith was in charge of the feast preparations, we followed his lead to carry the side dishes to the beautiful table setting made by Grandma Marti . They also let us help make...
  • Aunt Britt's Healthy Soup

My family and I were sick for the last several days, so yesterday our Aunt Brittney came to the rescue! She prepared for us a super-yummy-hmmm-delicious homemade chicken noodle soup. Her recipe used shredded meat and extra seasoning. It tasted sooooooo good! She sure knows how to treat us. THANK YOU very much, Aunt Brittney! We don't like being ill but with your cooking skills being in bed is worth every single spoonful of your loving and soupy care.

  • Locks of Love from Helen

NOTE: I wrote this post last month, but I'm publishing it now that we've had a chance to work on our pictures. Enjoy! Helen has always been the shy, quiet, giggly girl in our family. And as Claire is quite outspoken, we thought Helen would be forever in her shadow. But these fears are no more: Helen sports a new hair style and a new outlook on life, a real makeover. :) Helen had decided long ago after seeing a report on television that she wanted to donate her hair for children who need it...

  • Afternoon at American Girl

Grandma Marti, Aunt Brittney and I got to take Claire and Helen to the American Girl store for their birthday the other day. We had a delicious meal and had a great time exploring the store. Click the picture below to see more.
